ADA County Caucus - Feb 5, 2008

Over 6500 people packed the Qwest Arena on Super Tuesday to participate in the largest single location caucus in the nation.  The arena filled up quickly between 5 and 7pm while long lines of people waited in the cold and light snow to get inside.  While 6500 did make it inside, 2300 more were not allowed in, but the were given ballots and their votes were counted!  Below, are the historic pictures from this amazing, energy packed event.  And just so you know...  Hillary was not viable in either district!

Kevin Flock and other volunteers (and Obama supporters) were given duties and helped
get people into the right section and answer other questions.

Seats for Obama supporters started filling up at 5:00pm as people arrived early to make
sure they got in.

Democratic leaders for ADA county preparing to start the process by telling attendees
how the process works.

Obama supporters from CD1 on the floor as the process started.  Those people way up in
the stands...  Obama supporters!!!

An example of the wide range of age groups that came out to support Obama...  From 17 to
77 came out to make sure their voice was heard.

Umm.. yeah.  This is the other side of the arena... all Obama supporters.  I think the "wave"
started over on this side.  A "wave" at a caucus?  It was like a sporting event in there.

Boise City Mayor Dave Bieter took the microphone to tell why he endorsed Obama.  Hey, are
those empty seats in the Hillary section?  We could have stuffed more Obama people in there!

Just more of the 6500 people who got there early enough to get through the doors.
